The Jackie Nitschke Center is the only adult residential treatment center for substance addiction in Brown County and one of only a few in the state that treat co-occurring mental health disorders.
Our 28-day residential program, medically supervised, offers intensive rehabilitation for those with alcohol and drug addiction. Through counseling and behavioral therapies, we address trauma, denial, shame, and guilt, helping clients rebuild self-esteem, develop coping skills, and enhance relationships, fostering lasting recovery.
Our comprehensive Outpatient Treatment program acts as a vital bridge for individuals who have completed our Intensive Outpatient Program, offering an ongoing relapse prevention initiative where dedicated therapy sessions are held weekly, purposefully designed to provide continuous support and guidance, facilitating a smooth and sustainable transition into long-term recovery.
Offers a safe and healthy living environment while providing valuable peer support. Residents at a JNC Recovery Home have an opportunity to establish a sober lifestyle, a higher level of recovery, and an opportunity to give back to the community. Each resident meets with a JNC Recovery Housing Coordinator monthly to check in, establish goals, and discuss resources.
We believe that addiction is a complex medical disease and finding the right treatment is the first step towards disease management. Our evidence-based treatment is personalized to meet each client’s needs and goals through a variety of therapeutic approaches
in a respectful and compassionate manner in our home-like atmosphere. Since no two people are alike, no two treatment experiences are alike.
We believe that life-long recovery is possible with the right treatment approach, our low client-to-counselor ratio, and continuing care. Studies have proven involvement in continuing care increases success in long term recovery.
We are profoundly appreciative of the incredible generosity exhibited by our cherished donors and the remarkable community we are privileged to serve. Their unwavering support and contributions enable us to make a significant impact in the lives of our clients, especially those who may embark on their treatment journey lacking even the most fundamental necessities. Through the donations and funds that have been raised, we are empowered to go beyond the call of duty, not only providing critical addiction treatment but also ensuring that our clients are afforded the dignity and comfort that comes with access to basic hygiene items, thereby fostering a sense of security, self-worth, and hope as they take their courageous steps towards recovery and healing.

There is no cure for addiction. However, living a life without the use of substances is achievable and maintainable in the long term. In fact, recovery from substance use is an ongoing, lifelong process. Our goal at the JNC is to help our clients develop skills and provide them with the tools to manage their addictive behaviors successfully. As our client, you’ll learn how to navigate daily life without using substances. We’ll help you as you overcome the challenges of addiction.
The Jackie Nitschke Center has a list of medications that have been approved by a medical director
overseeing our facility. During your pre-admission screening, our Admissions Coordinator will determine
if your medications are allowed to be consumed while in the program. Prescription and over-the-
counter medications must be ordered by a physician and are securely stored and will be observed being
taken. Medications may not be stored in client rooms and clients will be responsible for any applicable
co-pays should a refill or new prescription be ordered while in our care.

We believe that everyone deserves access to high quality addiction treatment. Jackie’s Legacy Financial Assistance program was designed to supplement personal resources needed to afford treatment for those who qualify.
For many, drug and alcohol addictions go hand in hand with mental health disorders, such as depression and anxiety. In 2018, we became certified to treat both; substance addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. This gave treatment access to many individuals in our community, who would otherwise have to be turned away. The Jackie Nitschke Center is the ONLY adult residential treatment center for substance addiction in Brown county and one of only a few in the state that treat co-occurring mental health disorders.
In 1997, the Jackie Nitschke Center was named after the late wife of Green Bay Packers great, Ray Nitschke. Jackie Nitschke was a recovering alcoholic and an outspoken advocate in the recovery community. She openly shared her journey with others, teaching our community that the disease of addiction crosses all income levels and families.
